Support

Memorials and Donations

Many individuals have lent their support through memorials, pledges and donations. From the first $5000 given by Mr. and Mrs. Francis M. Barnes to the thousands given since--in donations large and small--these contributions have illustrated the caring and responsible nature of so many in our region. Their thoughtfulness honors not only the history of this corner of North Carolina; it honors them, as well. And there are so many others: the memorial windows dedicated to many of those who worked in the courthouse, the remarkable art collection donated by Dr. Everett James, the refurbished entry and side doors in memory of  Helen Katherine Taylor and her parents, and the two judges chairs donated by Harper Peel. Each of these and other contributions tells a story of its own.

Check the Chronology page for a list of highlights and consider adding a memorial, pledge or donation of your own to the list. For information, call Elizabeth Brandon at 252-792-3562 or email info@oldcourthouseculturalcenter.com.
